Terms of Service & Craftsmanship Warranty

Clear terms governing our fixed-price proposals, project execution standards, payment milestones, and 5-Year Craftsmanship Warranty.

1. Estimates and Proposals

All written proposals issued by CJ Home Projects are guaranteed fixed-price agreements valid for thirty (30) days from issuance. The quoted price covers all labor, specified premium coatings, drywall materials, masking protection, and disposal fees outlined in the scope of work. Any scope expansions requested by the client are documented in formal written change orders prior to execution.

2. Project Execution & Protection Standards

CJ Home Projects agrees to maintain professional conduct, keep scheduled working hours (typically 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM), isolate active work zones using HEPA dust extraction and zippered poly barriers, protect floors with heavy Ram Board, and perform daily cleanup.

3. 5-Year Craftsmanship Warranty Terms

CJ Home Projects warrants that all interior painting, exterior painting application, drywall taping joints, and structural finish remodeling will remain free from defects in workmanship—including blistering, peeling, or seam joint cracking resulting from improper application—for a period of five (5) full years from project completion.

Warranty Coverage Exclusions

The 5-Year Craftsmanship Warranty does not cover:

4. Payment Milestones and Completion Sign-Off

For standard residential projects, a deposit (typically 20% to 30%) is due upon contract execution to reserve crew scheduling. Interim progress draws may apply to large-scale basement remodeling projects based on verified milestone completions. The final balance is due only upon completion of our joint 20-point quality walkthrough.

5. State Regulatory & Environmental Compliance

Work performed in Massachusetts complies with the Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) statutory consumer protection guidelines. Pre-1978 residential surfaces are managed strictly in accordance with EPA Lead-Safe Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) protocols.

6. Governing Law & Contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire and Commonwealth of Massachusetts as applicable to project location.
